Saint Nicholas travels along OKHMATDYT

The core group of O.A. Kysil Students’ scientific society on the New Year’s Eve on 25, December, 2014, having equipped with excited mood and positive, decided to share the warmth of their hearts with little patients, who were treated in divisions of surgical profile at NCSH “OKHMATDYT”.

The organization of holiday performance for children has already become a good tradition. Thanks to open-hearted aid of sponsors, architect Yuriy Samsonov and public leader Nataliia Yemchenko, the children received the possibility to dive into the world of fairy tale and good, which was presented by theatrical group “Voyage-Prestige”. The pleasant surprise were also waiting for children: the exciting entertainment program from presenters, possibility to learn to make New Year tree decorations and New Year souvenirs on their own, masters-artists, students of University Dina Lytvynenko and Olena Dekaylo helped them in it. Of course, the main guest – Saint Nicholas, who presented many different useful toys to children, visited the event. The children during the holiday prepared the gift for the Saint, the picture, on which every one of them left a piece of his own “I: – a colored imprint of palm.

One more present from Saint Nicholas was the new window in the ninth ward in division of thoracoabdominal surgery. It happened thanks to assistance by private entrepreneur Yevgen Artiuschenko, the little patients, their parents and the staffs in division express the words of special gratitude to him for it. When we went along the tracks of the Saint further, we saw that the new washing machine had appeared in the sanitary room of division, which will become the real helper for parents of children, who came from the most remote regions of our state and stay in division together with little patients.

We would like to express the special gratitude to administration and employees of NCSH “OKHMATDYT”, represented by chief doctor Yuriy Gladush, head at division of thoracoabdominal surgery Candidate of Medicine Mykhaylo Silchenko, professor at department of pediatric surgery in O.O. Bohomolets NMU, Doctor of Medicine Vasyl Prytula, doctor-intern Serhii Petryk for overall efficient support to students’ initiatives, as well as for love and kindness, which they have to their little patients.

We would like to mention the student of O.O. Bohomolets NMU, enthusiastic activist and creative personality Solomiia Semeniv, on which tender shoulders the responsibility for organization and performance of this event was laid. Namely thanks to her all ideas were implemented.

After the holiday was finished the hearts of volunteers-organizers and children continued beating in unison, were full with the many positive emotions, endless supply of energy, which, of course, will approach the time for recovery of children as soon as possible.

The members in SSS assure that among further planned actions of the society there is the organization of a great number of holidays and special parties for children as the health children are the future of Ukraine.
