SEMINAR FOR SPECIALISTS-PSYCHOLOGISTS ON OVERCOMING WITH POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDERS

The six days seminar-training for specialists-psychologists that will work to overcome with post-traumatic stress disorders among participants and injured in ATO, family members of the perished, was held since 10 until 15, February, 2015.

The specialists-psychologists, psychotherapeutists, doctors, social workers, volunteers from all regions of Ukraine were involved into participation.
The purpose of study: to train the specialists, who will be able to work both in the zone of military actions and at medical establishments and centers of medical psychological rehabilitation, as well as trainers, who will be able to perform further studies for local target occupational groups in each region.
The program of seminar was developed by trainers from consulting company “Pucelik Consulting Group” and included the learning with important methodologies, techniques and strategies for work with PTSD, minimization of recurrences, support and social adaptation of injured.
During the seminar that for the first days was held at conference hall in physical chemical building of O.O. Bohomolets NMU, the present people listened to the general lectures, in which they told about survival rules during battle actions and their importance in rehabilitation of battle psychological trauma (BPT) and post-traumatic stress reaction (PTSR), revision of forms for psychological consulting, they considered the “shuttle technique” as a basis for establishment of psychological report, work with grief and trauma due to strategy by Elizabeth Kübler-Ross, technique for transformation of war expirience, conversational therapy, express course for therapy of dissociated states, etc. The lectures and demonstrations were added with the feedback with the audience in the format of questions-answers.
The lecturers and trainers in training were the psychologist-consultant, leader in groups at “National administration of struggle against drug abuse and alcoholism” at the Mayor’s office in c. Haifa (Israel) Gila Petrova and social worker, officer of psychological service in Israeli Defense Forces, major in reserve Moti Pikelner.
The event was organized at the initiative of councilor of President of Ukraine, Chairman in parliamentary Committee on issues of health care Olha Bohomolets, under supervision of Ministry of health care of Ukraine and Ukrainian SRI of social and forensic psychiatry and narcology at MHC of Ukraine with support of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.
