PRESENTATION OF INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

The presentation of Ukrainian Medical Students’ Association (UMSA) took place on 24, December, 2015 at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.

The rector of O.O. Bohomolets NMU Kateryna Amosova, general secretary in European medical students’ association Naomi Natal, chairman in Ukrainian Medical Students’ Association Garik Melkumian, medical students took part in the event.

The rector of NMU Kateryna Amosova in her welcome speech mentioned that university will further assist to performance of international probations and exchange for medical students, as well as to organization of joint UMSA projects.

The chairman in Ukrainian Medical Students’ Association Garik Melkumian reminded the colleagues that each student can pass through probation at the best clinics of Europe and to create his/her own project. Now medical students (members in UMSA) may have the probation in more than 30 countries all over the world. Besides, the association implements the volunteer’s, educational and social projects.

The general secretary in European medical students’ association Naomi Natal told about the main directions of cooperation with UMSA.

At the event they presented the structure of international medical students’ association, process for admission and selection for probation, experience in study at clinics, as well as the most successful students’ projects. UMSA unites the students from all medical higher schools in the country.
