FIRST UNIVERSITY THERAPEUTIC BRAIN RING

The event that as we hope became the start for new tradition of intellectual games and National medical university took place on 6, May, 2015.

The game was played in two stages: selective one and strictly brain ring. 5 cleverest teams were chosen to the second stage after completion of the first stage.

The standings, built due to rotation system, were designed for 10 battles per 6 questions in each. Thus, each team had the possibility to meet with all competitors in the duel playing per 4 battles in total. Sometimes the game became very intensive, and only one correct answer settled the result.

Results of brain rings are as it follows:

Team “Med 1+1” (captain Arman Kacharian) – 8 scores, 4 victories, first place!
Team “Concilium” (captain Viktoriia Golinko – 6 scores, 3 victories, second place!
Team “EncephaloParty” (captain Ivan Koval) – 4 scores, 2 victories, third place!

The winners were awarded with diploma and valuable prizes: pulse oximeters for the first place, half-automatic sphygmomanometers for the second place and certificate on purchase of medical literature at face value of UAH 300 for the third place.
4 best authors of questions were also awarded with diplomas and received pulse oximeters as a gift.

Teams “Coffee grouts” (Arkadiy Vodianyk) and “Father Darwin” (Anastasiia Piven) received 2 and 0 scores, accordingly.

Despite such difference in results all participants demonstrated the brilliant game and the favorites of tournament received the prize places not very simply.

The intellectual games of NMU express the gratitude to all, who joined to organization and performance of this event:

– to teams that came to try their forces and showed the wide erudition and good reaction;
– to collective of department of internal medicine No 2 that prepared in total 111 (!) interesting, creative and sometimes very uneasy questions;
– to K.M. Amosova for gifts for the first and second prize places, for assistance in organization of the event;
– to O.A. Nykytiuk and I.G. Kostinina for organization of coffee break for event;
to “Yuriia Pharm” Company and initiatives from “Steps into the future and Space of Possibilities” for provision with monetary certificates for the third place;
– to Leonid Bilchenko for provision with electronic brain system.
