THE FIRST GENERAL TEAM PLACE OF NMU’S COMBINED TEAM IN DEPARTMENTAL SPARTAKIAD

FSS “Spartak” every year performs the departmental Spartakiad among members in trade unions of establishments and organizations in c. Kyiv “Healthy Kievan”. Usually the combined teams of city trade union for medical workers take part in the final part of Spartakiad that consists of 8 kinds of sport. The sportsmen from O.O. Bohomolets NMU are the traditional participants in these competitions and have many victories.

The university combined team won the general team I place in October-November 2015 in rather tense struggle. One of the most important kinds of sport was track and field athletics, which was held in field-and-track training ground in Berezniaki in c. Kyiv. The confident victories of doctor-intern Vitalina Oleschenko – three first places and student of the 5th course in medical faculty No 4 Ruslan Kariuchenko – two first places enabled to take the 1st place in the team total.

The students Ulyana Marshalok and international master Anvesh Upadkhiaya, who surely passed through the whole tournament and took the 1st team place, represented Alma mater in chess competitions.

O.O. Bohomolets National medical university was also represented by basketball players Artem Dmytrenko, Vadym Gusev, Mykola Zhupaniuk, Vladyslav Prokopovych, Mykyta Pepanin (trainer V.Yu. Makarevych), who took the 3rrd place in competitions in street ball. Doctors-interns Roman Yefimenko, Maksym Pryvalov, Roman Berdega and Bohdan Chernenko took the 1st place in nomination “Kettlebell lifting”. Our team took the 2nd place in competitions in arm sport: the honor of University was defended by assistant at department of surgical dentistry Ihor Brodetskyy and Bohdan Chernenko, Yevgen Sologub, Roman Berdega. Olga Kozhokar took the 3rd place in personal and paired category in tournament of table tennis.
