WORKSHOP IN THE FRAMEWORK OF DAYS OF SCIENCE PROJECT AT DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY, VIRUSOLOGY, AND IMMUNOLOGY

On November 14, 2015, the department of microbiology, virusology, and immunology of O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University organized the workshop «PLR (with electrophoretic detection in agarose gel) in laboratory diagnostics of infectious diseases».
It was organized in the framework of the Days of Science on the Occasion of the World Day of Science in the name of peace and development celebrate don November 10. L.Dolinchuk, V.Poniatovskyi, D.Kropachev, and A.Chobotar gave these workshops. Academician V.Shyrobokov, Chairman of the Department welcomed the students of .O. Bohomolets National Medical University and Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, told them about the department history and scientific activities of molecular genetic laboratory. The students learnt the techniques of DNA and RNA isolation from clinical material, reaction of reverse transcription, amplification and electrophoretic holding amplicon detection in agarose gel.
