III UNIVERSITY BRAIN RING IN SURGERY

III University brain ring in surgery was held on 18, December, 2014 in M.M. Amosov lecture hall. 8 teams, consisting of students from the 3^rd-6^th courses took part in the struggle for the title of champion.

Often the game became intensive and dynamic. The situation was exacerbated by the fact that the competition was held due to play-off system and each match shall be finished with the victory or loss of one from the teams.

The favorites of the tournament – teams that became the winners made the special atmosphere. They won the quarter-final games by far from their competitors, showed the nice and passionate game in semi-final and final, when they went step for step and when the final results was defined by 1-2 scores.

The team of surgical club “Armatamanus” (Kutsenko Yuriy – captain, Popandopalo Oleksandra, Severenchuk Andrii, Shpychka Glib, Mamedov Rashad, Babiy Ivan) took the third place and received the memorable cups with the symbols of the event as a gift in addition to certificates and medals.

The second place was taken by the team “Dance as Uncle Vitya!” (Yefremov Artem – captain, Kalchenko Anna, Kolbasiuk Iryna, Marushko Kateryna, Oliynyk Dmytro, Mykhalchuk Dmytro). The members in the team received the certificates per UAH 200 for purchase of medical clothes and shoes.

The winner was the team “SyndicusWillisii” (Mykhayliuk Oksana – captain, Chudnovets Anna, Pliuta Iryna, Golinko Viktoriia, Vodianyk Arkadiy, Chorna Nataliia), they received pulse oximeters and textbooks, published by department of surgery No 4, as gifts.

The organizing committee (Motornyy Volodymyr, Danchenko Anastasiia, Gorovtseva Mariana, and Meliksetian Astra) thanks all players that took part! The “Intellectual games of NMU” will continue organizing such games in the future.

The selection of the team that will represent NMU at competition of all-Ukrainian level, which is planned for April, 2015, will be held among the teams-winners in university brain ring.
