II STAGE IN ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENTS’ OLYMPIAD IN MEDICAL GENETICS

II stage in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in medical genetics among higher medical schools of Ukraine was held since 22 until 24, April, 2015 on the base of department of medical genetics at Kharkiv national medical university. The students from 8 medical and classical higher schools of the country were present at the event.

The Olympiad was held in two tournaments. The 1^st tournament was in the form of test tasks and the 2^nd tournament consisted of situational tasks and decoding of cardiograms. The session of Minor Genetic Academy and School on medical genetics, which raised the issues about urgent directions in development of modern genetics and interesting clinical cases from practice of doctors at Ukrainian institute of clinical genetics at KhNMU, was held within the Olympiad. The original cultural program and the possibility to spend time pleasantly in Kharkiv were waiting for participants in Olympiad.

Due to the results from performed works the students of NMU took two prize places: II place – Potekhina Tetiana and IV place –Druzenko Mariia, students of the 5^th course in medical faculty No 1. At the end of the Olympiad all participants received the memorable prizes.
