ІІ STAGE IN ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENTS’ OLYMPIAD IN CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY AND ALLERGOLOGY

The II stage in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in discipline “clinical immunology and allergology” took place on 14-15, April, 2016 in O.O. Bohomolets National medical university at department of clinical immunology and allergology with section of medical genetics, which is supportive one in Ukraine.

30 best students from different higher schools of Ukraine, namely from Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Chernivtsy, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Ternopil, Zaporizhe, Uzhgorod took part in the Olympiad. The chairperson in organizing committee on performance of the II stage in Olympiad at university, pro-rector on scientific work at NMU, Doctor of Medicine, professor Tetiana Cherenko made the welcome speech to the participants at the ceremony of solemn opening all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in discipline “clinical immunology and allergology”.

The jury of Olympiad in clinical immunology and allergology included the professors from medical universities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv and Chernivtsy. The chairman of jury was the head at department of clinical laboratory immunology and allergology at P.L. Shupyka NMAPE, professor Viktor Ivanovych Litus.

The winner of Olympiad was the student from O.O. Bohomolets National medical university Alyona Goncharuk (5^th course, medical faculty No 2). The honorary 2^nd place was shared between the student from Danylo Galytskyy Lviv NMU Diana Gut and student from Dnipropetrovsk medical academy at MHC of Ukraine Kateryna Belska. The 3^rd place was taken by student from Kharkiv NMU Iryna Tverezovska and student from Bukovyna state medical university Vadym Malchenko. The team of students-Olympians of our university took the 1^st team place, 2^nd place – students from Danylo Galytskyy Lviv NMU, 3^rdplace – team from Kharkiv.

The students and teachers listened to the lecture by the first head at department, author of the first national textbook in clinical immunology and allergology, professor Georgiy Mykolayovych Drannik “Contribution by I.I. Mechnikov into clinical immunology”.
In general the event was held in warm and friendly atmosphere, the participants visited the National museum of medicine in Ukraine within the cultural program.
