WEIGHTLIFTERS KEEP THE POSITIONS
The regular championship in kettlebell lifting among students at higher schools in c. Kyiv took place on 9, February, 2018. The competition was held at sports complex of O.O. Bogomolets NMU. About 70 sportsmen from 10 capital higher schools took part in competitions. For the first time in history of such events the competition was held simultaneously among schoolchildren in general education schools, which were arranged under support of Kyiv City Department of Committee of Physical Education and Sports at MES of Ukraine and Federation of Kettle Bell Lifting of Ukraine.
Despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of leading sportsmen – weigh lifters NMU finished the study and could not take part in competition among students and the beginners have not acquired the necessary sports shape, the medical men from the capital managed to keep their positions of prize winners and took the third team place. The team of NUBIP took the second place and the sportsmen from T.H. Shevchenko Kyiv National University, who for the first time since independence of Ukraine became the winners in competition, left them behind only by one score.
The friendly team of medical men in individual classification also received the medals of champions and winners in competition. We should especially mention the success of girls. Rim Humani, citizen of Lebanon, who studies at internship of dental faculty, for the first time got acquainted with the kettle bells at our university a year and a half ago. The persistent trainings provided with their results and she received the champion’s medal. The keen struggle in weigh category of up to 60 kg brought the bronze medal to student at FTDAFU in the second course Lupynos Nadiia, who showed the same result with silver winner in competition Yeroshkina Alisa (T.H. Shevchenko KNU) but she turned out to be by 200 grams heavier than her competitor. The team bronze medal was provided by Hresko Marian – dental faculty, Chernenko Bohdan and Tsaryk Oleksandr – interns of pharmaceutical faculty, Knyzhnykov Pavlo – dental faculty, Diadchenko Viktor and Mykhailovskyi Yurii – FTDAFU. The team of judges from Federation of Kettle Bell Lifting of Ukraine served the competition consisting of chief judge of competition, judge of international category (IC), Yu.V. Shcherbyna chief secretary of competition Romas Ye.O. – IC, Bykov Ye.Yu. – IC, Kozhushko O.V. – IC, Honcharenko Ye.D. – national category (NC), Nedashkivska O.S. – NC, Bondarenko V.V. – honorary master of sports.
The students’ forum of capital weigh lifters was the selective stage in training and selection for participation in the 8th world championship in kettle bell lifting among students, which will be held on 26-30, April in Slovenia.
