III INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN MAMMALOGY STARTED ITS WORK

III International scientific practical conference in mammalogy “Modern approaches in diagnostics and treatment of breast cancer” is held on 1-2, April, 2016 in Kyiv. The conference is devoted to issues of oncocorrective surgery, which efforts are directed both to struggle against tumors and preservation of quality in life of women.

The organizers of the conference were O.O. Bohomolets National medical university (department of surgery No 4, department of oncology), hospital of modern oncologic aid LISOD and Vinnytsia regional clinical oncologic dispensary.

The large-scale medical forum, devoted to modern treatment of breast cancer, for the third time already gathers the best western, Israeli and Ukrainian specialists. The welcome speeches to participants were made by organizers: head at department of surgery No 4 at O.O. Bohomolets NMU, Honorary Doctor of Ukraine, professor Volodymyr Mishalov. “The conference gathered the famous leaders in surgery and oncosurgery from 7 countries all over the world; we will adopt the experience of our colleagues and share with our achievements in this sphere. Our University pays the whole attention to study of young staff, thus, the participation of students and young scientists in the Conference will become the important experience for development of students science”, – mentioned Volodymyr Grygorovych. The managing partner of LISOD clinic Michael Amzel wished the fruitful cooperation to participants, and the chief doctor of Vinnytsia regional oncologic dispensary Volodymyt Shamray expressed the expectation that only together the leading specialists of the world would be able to make the oncologic aid available.

The experts of world level present the most urgent and contradictory aspects in oncologic and reconstructive surgery of lacteal gland, clinical and radiation oncology of patients with breast cancer. This year the scientific topics of the conference are directed to consideration of multidisciplinary approach in diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of breast cancer patients (BC); peculiarities for treatment of breast cancer at patients, aged up to 40 years (chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery); modern approaches to organ-preserving oncoreconstructive surgery of BC; benign tumors of lactic gland; oncologic and surgical approaches in diagnostics and treatment; modern approaches to mammectomy, single-step and delayed reconstructions of lactic gland, lipografting, in surgery of lactic gland; complications in surgery of lactic gland, prevention and treatment; principles for organization of aid to BC patients in different countries and principles for training of surgeons-breast physicians in Europe, experience of colleagues in BC treatment, video presentations of operations with comments of authors and experts.
