GRANT FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF TRAINING CENTER IN LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

Doctors-interns at department of children’s surgery of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university Petryk S.M. and Goncharenko A.V. received the grant to establish the training class in laparoscopic surgery.

The establishment of training center became possible thanks to the implementation of program “Support to youth initiatives” by “Yuriya-Pharm” Corporation, it will act on clinical base of department – National children’s specialized hospital “OKHMATDYT”.

NCSH “OKHMATDYT” is the best children’s hospital in the country, where the doctors in their work, despite all difficulties, try to render the highly qualified, qualitative and modern medical aid to small patients according to requirements of international standards.

Now, one of the modern quickly progressing surgical methodologies is laparoscopic surgery. Laparoscopic technique in surgery has a lot of advantages: low trauma rate, reduction in time for child’s staying at in-patient clinic, reduction of postoperative complications, and quick recovery of patient after interference. This technique is actively used at clinic during recent 10 years.

The stage-by-stage courses in classes and laboratories, equipped with modern training devices, are necessary for qualified training of specialists in laparoscopic surgery. The clinical base of NCSH “OKHMATDYT” carries out the training of scientific workers, resident medical practitioners, doctors-interns and students of senior courses, in this connection there is the need in such equipment.

The winners of the grant express the sincere gratitude to pharmaceutical corporation “Yuriya-Pharm”, professor at department of pediatric surgery Vasyl Prytula and members in club at department of pediatric surgery for overall support of initiatives, which implementation will allow improving the specialized training of medical staff, in order to provide with rendering the medical aid to children’s population of Ukraine.
