VIII INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC PRACTICAL CONFERENCE FOR STUDENTS AND YOUNG SCIENTISTS. THE FIRST DAY

The first day of the VIII International scientific practical conference for students and young scientists “Special issues in diagnostics and treatment of EENT, craniofacial site, visual organ diseases” took place on 11, March, 2016 on the base of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university, over 130 students, young scientists and teachers from O.O. Bohomolets National medical university, Belarusian state medical university, Vinnytsia national medical university of M.I. Pyrogov, Dnipropetrovsk state medical academy, Zaporizhe state medical university, Ivano-Frankivsk national medical university, Lviv Danylo Galytskyy national medical university, Odessa national medical university, Ukrainian medical dental academy, Ternopil I.Ya. Gorbachevskyy state medical university and Kharkiv national medical university took part in it.

The solemn ceremony for opening of conference was held by pro-rector on scientific work, Doctor of Medicine, professor Tetiana Makarivna CHERENKO, pro-rector on scientific pedagogical, treatment work and postgraduate education, Honorary Doctor of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, professor Oleksandr Mykolayovych NAUMENKO and scientific consultant in O.A. Kysil SSS, Doctor of Medicine, professor Oleksandr Anatoliyovych BURIANOV.

The participants in the conference with the great attention listened to three lectures on urgent topics of today:
1. “Gunshot wounds of facial site”. Reporter – head at department of surgical dentistry and facial surgery, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, Honorary Scientist and Technician of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, professor MALANCHUK Vladyslav Oleksandrovych.
2. “Traumatic injuries of visual organ”. Reporter – head at department of ophthalmology, Honorary Doctor of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, professor VITOVSKA Oksana Petrivna.
3. “Tonsillogenic phlegmons of neck: clinic, diagnostic, treatment”. Reporter – acting head at department of otorhinolaryngology, Honorary Doctor of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, professor VASYLYEV Valeriy Mykhaylovych.

The master class, devoted to actual aspects to the injured with gunshot wounds and peculiarities for rendering the medical aid at terrorist attacks, was held under supervision of scientific consultant in O.A. Kysil SSS Doctor of Medicine, professor Oleksander Anatoliyovych BURIANOV. The students and young scientists had the possibility to improve the practical skills in rendering the emergency aid, including putting both the traditional constrictors due to Esmarch type and modern type CAT and SWAT-T.

After intensive work the participants in the conference had the walking tour along interesting places in the old city, and in the evening they had the possibility to visit either the exhibition “One handed” or “What is the miracle, aunt?” at Kyiv academic theater for youth.
