JUBILEE READINGS IN MEMORY OF PROFESSOR YU.V. SHANIN

This year Shanin Yuriy Vadymovych would celebrate the 85^th birthday. The jubilee readings in memory of the teacher and tutor were performed at the department of Latin language, where he was the head almost for 30 years.

Head at department of Latin language O.G. Kyselyova: “Yuriy Vadymovych died ten years ago. Since that time the pedagogical collective has been replenished with young talented and purposeful teachers but the traditions, laid by professor Yu.V. Shanin, are transferred to the new generation. They are the good will, love and strictness to students. And they in their turn responded with reciprocity. At that time Latin was taught at the first course but the future doctors kept their feelings, good attitude and gratitude to the teacher during the whole time of study at higher school. During solemn graduation of doctors the graduates always met the speech of their favorite teacher – all-round man, poet, writer, philosopher and humorist – with the thunderous ovation”
