UKRAINIAN POLISH COOPERATION OF SCIENTISTS IN THE SPHERE OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The congress on health care in countryside was held on 24-27, May, 2015 in c. Lublin (Poland) within Social Medicine and Public Health Days.
The co-organizers of international forum were Institute of Medicine in Countryside in c. Lublin, which celebrated the 60thanniversary since its foundation, and all-Polish Society of social medicine and public health that is of 100 years old. The topics of the conference anticipated the discussion of a wide range of issues about health care, including formation of the policy in health care, rendering the medical and social services to rural population, struggle against diseases of civilization and risk factors for their development, prevention from disability, reduction of irregularities in health, development of modern telemedical technologies, etc.
the scientists and organizers of health care from seven countries in Europe, including Belarus, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Sweden took part in the work of forum.
The plenary meeting was solemnly opened by director of Institute of Medicine in countryside, professor Ivona Boayr.

The greeting speeches to participants in the conference were made by minister of agriculture and development of countryside Marek Savytskyy, chairman in all-Polish Society of social medicine and public health, professor Alfred Ovots, president of National health fund Tadeush Yedrzeychuk and other honorary guests.
The head at department of health care organization and social medicine of O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University, professor Tetiana Gruzeva and head at health care administration of Lviv Danylo Galytskyy national medical university, professor Oleg Liubinets congratulated the scientific community on behalf of Ukrainian delegation.
The deputy director on scientific activity professor Andjey Voytchak made the program report about history of establishment and the present time of Institute of medicine in countryside.
The plenary meetings included 5 scientific reports, as well as 5 lectures by leading scientists in the sphere of social medicine on urgent problems of public health and two panel discussions.
The extremely saturated program of congress anticipated the work of 9 sections, at which 96 reports were heard.
The participants in forum could also learn the materials of 24 stand reports.

 

Ukrainian scientists from four higher medical schools of Ukraine presented the results from their researches on issues about public health in 13 reports. The scientists from O.O. Bohomolets NMU made 6 reports, which caused to the great interest and lively discussion. All scientific works were published in the materials of congress.
The interesting discussion, exchange of opinions, experience in solution of urgent scientific problems took place after completion of presentations.
The agreements about cooperation between departments of social medicine and public health at Ukrainian, Polish, Slovak and Byelorussian higher medical schools, as well as scientific establishments of these countries in scientific and educational spheres were achieved during the forum.
