TO THE DAY OF STRUGGLE FOR RIGHTS OF CRIMEAN TATAR PEOPLE

18, May is the day of remembrance of victims of deportation of Crimean Tatar people from Crimea. On this day in 1944 the first echelon of Crimean Tatars was sent to the Middle Asia. Over 180 thousands people were deported in total. Within all-Ukrainian social campaign “All we are Crimean Tatars” the Students’ Parliament of O.O. Bohomolets NMU together with the active group of scientific students’ club at department of internal diseases in dental faculty performed the lesson of memory, devoted to 71st anniversary of deportation of Crimean Tatar People.
At the same time at department of internal diseases in dental faculty, headed by Prof. O.B. Yaremenko, they held a moment of silence for victims from deportation of Crimean Tatar people. The head of department of external relations at Students’ Parliament Kostiantyn Kovalishyn made the speech about importance in preservation of historical memory. The student of the 4th course in dental faculty Belial Dzhemilov told the audience about his family, who became the victims of deportation in 1944, and their tragic destiny. After discussion of historical facts the present people watches the film “Khaytarma” (producer Akhtem Seytablayev), which described the life of Crimean Tatar people during war years and the whole horror, which the people experienced during deportation more than 70 years ago.
