INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC PRACTICAL CONFERENCE “INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL TREATMENT AND DIAGNOSTICS STANDARDS FOR GENERAL PRACTITIONER”

The scientific practical conference with international participation “International and national treatment and diagnostics standards for general practitioner” took place on 13, May, 2015. The conference was devoted first of all to interdisciplinary problems of rheumatologic diseases.

242 general practitioners, therapeutists, rheumatologists, cardiologists, teachers from 6 higher medical schools of Ukraine, employees of NAMS of Ukraine, chief regional specialists-rheumatologists and practitioners from 18 regions of Ukraine, as well as specialists from Georgia took part in the conference. The participation in the conference enabled the doctors of different profile to learn the basic provisions of new international and national recommendations, as well as the results from their implementation into medical practice at leading medical establishments in Ukraine and Europe.

The conference was opened by acting prorector on scientific activity at O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University, professor Tetiana Makarivna Cherenko and chief extraordinary rheumatologist at MHC of Ukraine, president in Association of rheumatologists in c. Kyiv, member in presidium of Board of Association of rheumatologists of Ukraine, professor Oleg Borysovych Yaremenko.

During the conference they heard and discussed the reports-lectures by leading specialists of Ukraine and Italy. They considered the urgent issues about implementation of new international recommendations on treatment of osteoarthrosis, peculiarities for pharmacotherapy of rheumatic diseases during pregnancy, general variable immune deficit, diagnostics and treatment of osteonecrosis, syndrome of “red eye”, paraneoplastic disease, fibromyalgia, dermatologic manifestation of rheumatic diseases, modern high technology methods for distant diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases, etc. into clinical practice. Dr. Lucio Cavicchioli (Italy), professor Vitovska O.P., professor Gavrysiuk V.K., Candidate of Medicine Garmish O.O., professor Gnylorybov A.M., professor Golovach I.Yu., professor Dorofeyev V.F., Candidate of Medicine Lytvynenko B.V., corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Medvid V.I., Doctor of Medicine Rekalov D.G., professor Svintsitskyy A.S., professor Smiyan S.I., professor Stanislavchuk M.A., professor Tkach S.S., Candidate of Medicine Fedkov D.L., Doctor of Medicine Khimion L.V., professor Yaremenko O.B. shared their clinical expirience and scientific improvements.

Master class “Optimization of ratio “benefit” and “risk” at intra-articular manipulations”, which mainly had the practical direction, and was performed using the modern models for practice of skills on local administration of medicines into different anatomical sites, was held within the conference.

During the conference they performed the organizational methodological meeting of regional rheumatologists of Ukraine, devoted to summary of results from work for 2014 and issues about standardization and optimization in establishment of local clinical protocols pursuant to unified clinical protocol on medical aid, approved by MHC of Ukraine, under topic “Rheumatoid arthritis”. The representatives from MHC of Ukraine Candidate of Medicine Lischyshyna O.M., Shylkina O.O., Migel O.V. took part in the meeting.

Young scientists, who presented the results from their researches at the competition of works by young scientists, were involved into participation in the conference. The competition was held through presentation of poster reports and caused to lively discussion among reporters and members in assessment commission. In general, the members in commission witnessed the high scientific level of presented works and drew attention to the presentation qualities of participants in competition. The winners were awarded with diplomas.

The discussion about possibilities for implementation of high technology methods for diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular and rheumatic diseases into daily practice of doctors with different specialties took place at the end of the conference. Many questions were devoted to definition of indications for application and assessment criteria for efficiency of biological therapy, prevention from development of possible adverse effects from pharmacotherapy and their timely diagnostics, importance and actuality of interdisciplinary approach to management of rheumatologic patients.

All participants received the certificates of participants in conference, materials of the conference, as well as free subscription for journal “Ukrainian medical chronicle” and newspaper “Health of Ukraine”. All doctors-rheumatologists received the book “Practical rheumatology: modern accents” under editorship of professor O.B. Yaremenko and methodical guidelines with the label of MHC of Ukraine “Psoriatic arthritis: clinical laboratory diagnostics and pharmacotherapy”, published in 2015.

The resolution that defined the top priority directions in development of rheumatology with the accent to active implementation of modern methods for medicamentous therapy into practical activity of general practitioners, therapeutists, rheumatologists, cardiologists and necessity in arrangement of interdisciplinary interaction of specialists with different profile to improve the level in medical aid to patients with rheumatologic diseases was taken due to the results from work of the conference.
