FIRST GRANT CONFERENCE OF STUDENTS

The Grant conference of students at O.O. Bohomolets NMU, the first one among all higher medical schools in Ukraine, the order about which performance was signed by rector K.M. Amosova in April this year, took place on 27, May, 2015.

9 best students’ projects of scientific research works took part in the open portion of the conference. The jury of the conference consisted of members in Scientific coordination council of NMU under the head of acting prorector on scientific activity Professor T.M. Cherenko and was presented by reliable team of judges: academician in NAS and NAMS of Ukraine V.P. Shyrobokov and academician in NAMS of Ukraine V.I. Tsymbaliuk, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine V.G. Bardov, Yu.B. Chaykovskyy and professors O.B. Yaremenko, M.Yu. Antonenko, O.V. Linovytska, S.P. Kryvopustov, M.V. Khaytovych, L.V. Natrus, R.I. Vereschako, Doctor of Medicine A.V. Kopchak.

The projects of experimental researches on urgent problems in fundamental medicine, in the sphere of surgery, therapeutic disciplines were presented at the competition of grants. The participants demonstrated the high level of general knowledge in modern scientific problems, theoretical and practical training for scientific researches and “passion of player” in good meaning of this word.

The grant to perform the work in the amount of UAH 20,000 was awarded to 3 contestants: 1) student of the 2^nd course in medical faculty No 3 Dzhuma A.A. (title of work: “Research on neuroprotective effect of ASIC blocking agent #005 in experiments with rats in vivo),
2) student of the 6^th course in medical faculty No 2 Kolotylo M.O. (Title of work: “Myoglobine as diagnostic criterion at pathology of periphery nerves),
3) student of the 4^th course in medical faculty No 1 Semeniv S.Ya. (Title of work: “Efficiency of Sleeve gastrectomy in treatment of adiposity at accompanying hypotheriosis”).

We congratulate the winners and wish the fruitful scientific work! During opening the Grant conference next year the winners of this year will report about results of their works in order to encourage the youth to scientific searches.
