MEETING OF UNIVERSITY’S SUPERVISORY BOARD

The meeting of University’s Supervisory Board, during which the participants heard the results from activity of university for last academic year, was held on 18, June, 2015 in Volodymyr Yurychko lecture hall of NMU. The work of the meeting was headed by chairman in Supervisory Board – famous public leader, doctor, writer, publicist, diplomat, Doctor of Medicine, honorary doctor of medicine at NMU, professor Yu.M. Scherbak.
The members in Supervisory Board, prorectors, deans of faculties, chairmen in students’ councils of faculties, heads of structural subdivisions took part in it.

The rector K.M. Amosova reported about results from activity of NMU. The academic and methodological work, personal changes, positions in ratings, outstanding events and other aspects were described in details in the presentation of the rector.

The university implemented the scientific grounded system for anonymous survey of students. This practice was supported by decisions from Scientific council and Conference of labor collective. The students’ organizations, Students’ parliament and trade union take an active part in performance of surveys. Besides, there are trust boxes, as well as a separate e-mail, which is checked by the rector. All important decisions are taken with involvement of students.

According to the words by rector the approaches to economical activity had changed, in particular, the strict financial discipline had been established. For example, as of the first of June, 2015 there is no indebtedness in payment for study by national students while due to results from 2013 this index exceeded UAH 950 ths.

Among concrete results from work in the first half year of 2015 Kateryna Amosova named the opening of SRI of experimental and clinical medicine, Institute of postgraduate education, as well as the establishment of student quarter on the base of university hostels.

– Report about activity of O.A. Kysil students’ scientific society in 2014-2015 academic year (Reporter – Chairman in Council of O.A. Kysil SSS S.I. Ustinov)
– Presentation of University television “NMU TV” (Reporter – chairman in students’ organization “Studdovira”).

Finally, Yu.M. Scherbak added that in general the supervisory board made the conclusion that we have all grounds to assess the activity of educational establishment, rector and separately the role of each employee as very positive and approving.
