THE MEETING OF WORKING GROUP ON DEVELOPMENT OF PROVISIONS ABOUT STUDENTS’ SELF-GOVERNMENT TOOK PLACE

The meeting of working group on development of provisions about students’ self-government, headed by rector Kateryna Amosova, took place on 18, February in administrative building of O.O. Bohomolets NMU. The prorectors, deans, heads in divisions, teachers and active students of NMU also took part in the meeting.

Acting chairman in Students’ parliament Petro Zgurskyy made the report “Draft provisions about students’ self-government”, in which he acquainted the present people with the main proposals, made by members in students’ self-government.

While speaking about the draft they had many discussions: whether foreign students could be included into students’ self-government authorities or would be left as a separate structure; about passing barrier and number of tournaments in election of chairman in Students’ parliament; process for composition of estimate, as well as criteria for election of students’ deans and monitors of courses.

The participants in working group agreed that it would be reasonable to continue the work on draft Provisions taking into consideration the comments that were expressed during the meeting.
