The department has successfully completed initiative research research works on the topics: “Improving the treatment of pathology of internal organs by means of syndromic diagnosis in the clinic of internal and infectious diseases” (registration number – 0116U000120, implementation period – 2016-2018) and “Clinical-pathogenetic rationale for the prevention and treatment of drug-induced lesions of the intestine in patients with osteoarthritis Clinical-pathogenetic rationale for the prevention and treatment of drug-induced lesions of the intestine in patients with osteoarthritis (registration number – 0120U101414, implementation period – 2018-2022)<\/p>\n

As part of the implementation of the NDR, the master’s students of the department performed works on the topics “The influence of vegetarian diets on the development of depression”, “Injuries of the lower parts of the gastrointestinal tract associated with the use of acetylsalicylic acid in cardiac patients”, “Comparison of the level of fecal calprotectin in cardiac patients taking traditional preparations of acetylsalicylic acid or its magnesium-containing forms”, “Study of the influence of liver pathology on the cognitive functions and psycho-emotional state of patients”, as well as completed and defended dissertation work for obtaining the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of knowledge “Health Care” in the specialty “Medicine” on the topic “Diagnostic possibilities of non-invasive biomarkers for drug-induced intestinal lesions in patients with osteoarthritis”. Research supervisor Dr. Med. n., professor Olena Gubska, performer graduate student Andrii Anatoliyovych Kuzminets.<\/p>\n

At the department, the dissertation work for obtaining the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge “Health Care” with the specialty “Medicine” was completed and defended on the topic “Evaluation of adherence to a gluten-free diet in patients with celiac disease based on the results of classical serological biomarkers and indicators of immunogenic gluten peptides” . Research supervisor Dr. Med. n., professor Olena Gubska, performer – graduate student Oleg Ruslanovych Denesyuk. Also, two topics of new dissertations under the supervision of Doctor of Medicine were approved. Ph.D., professor Olena Gubska: “Study of the effectiveness of the method of biosuggestive therapy in the civilian population of Ukraine with disorders of the gut-brain interaction (functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome) caused by wartime distress” performed by post-graduate student Maftychuk Bozhedar Ruslanovych, and “Study of the effectiveness of the method of biosuggestive therapy in servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with disorders of the gut-brain interaction (functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome) caused by wartime distress” performed by graduate student Olga Mykhaylivna Bozhitska.<\/p>\n

The Department of Therapy, Infectious Diseases, and Dermatovenerology of the Postgraduate Council was awarded the Thank You for active participation in the development of student science at the University.<\/p>\n
