On April 12th, 2017, a roundtable for students and medical interns took place at the National Museum of Medicine of Ukraine organized by the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 and the Department of Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology of Postgraduate Education, as well as the Therapeutic Evenings Club was established on its base.<\/p>\n

The organizers of the meeting chose an interesting topic for the participants, which consisted of the clinical analysis of diseases from the experienced specialists of the departments: \u201cFrom archival histories of diseases of the beginning of the 20th century to interesting clinical cases of the present\u201d. The event was attended by Head of the Department of Internal Medicine \u21161, Director of the National Museum of Medicine of Ukraine, Professor Vadym Shipulin; Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology of Postgraduate Education, Professor Olena Gubska; Associate Professor of our Department, Associate Professor Anatolii Taran; Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine \u21161, Volodymyr Chernyavskyi, as well as representatives of other departments, students, and medical interns.<\/p>\n

In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere of a pub, young medical interns were able to get comprehensive answers to questions about the clinical practice from experienced specialists.<\/p>\n

We decided that the topics of the next meetings would be based on the wishes and suggestions of the participants.<\/p>\n

The second meeting of the \u201cTherapeutic Evenings\u201d club was held on December 22nd, 2016, as part of the Open Doors Day of the Department of Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenereology of Postgraduate Education. After the official part, the staff of the Department, doctors and heads of all the therapeutic units of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 1 discussed the modern problem of diagnosis and treatment of influenza (speaker \u2013 professor, doctor of medicine I.A. Zaytsev).<\/p>\n

Continuing the tradition of informal gatherings, on February 17th, 2017, the third meeting of the \u201cTherapeutic Evenings\u201d club was held. This time the topic was the phenomenon of physician burnout. Thanks to the special guest Augustina Yatsena (psychotherapist, teacher of gestalt therapy, member of the Association of Psychotherapists and Psychoanalysts of Ukraine, Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists, Ukrainian Association of Family Physicians), doctors of different therapeutic specializations and with various practical experience were able to analyze the causes, features, and methods correction and prevention of the phenomenon of physician burnout, as well as receive comprehensive answers to their questions.<\/p>\n
