Material support of educational process was always in the centre of attention of the Department. For the purpose of satisfaction the students\u2019 needs in the process of their studying, Department tried to make more active their cognitive activity as much as possible. First of all, we have prepared more than 30 textbooks. Some of them we called for fun the series “today for tomorrow”.       30 co-authors from 6 higher medical educational institutions and four Institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took part in its preparation. First of all, this is our National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets, Vinnytsia named after E. Pyrogova, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv named after Danyla Halytskoho National Medical Universities, Bukovyna State Medical University, Dnipro State Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the National Postgraduate Medical Academy named after P.L. Shupyka, scientists of the Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism named after V.P. Komissarenko, Institute of Nephrology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Neurosurgery named after A.P. Romadanov of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

      Among the authors of the textbook are 4 academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and 7 corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 15 honored figures of science and technology, doctors, honored workers of public education of Ukraine, 11 laureates of State and named prizes, seven presidents of Associations of various levels. The preface to the fifth edition was prepared by an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, rector of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after E. Pirogov, Prof. V.M. Moroz.<\/p>\n

      The reviewers of the textbook are the vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the director of the State University “Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism named after V.P. Kommisarenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” M.D. Tronko and corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, honored worker of public education of Ukraine, rector of the Dnipro State Medical Academy, prof. T.O. Pertseva.<\/p>\n

      The textbook describes the main diseases of the endocrine organs, especially diabetes and thyroid diseases in detail. The textbook is well illustrated with own and borrowed drawings, tables and paintings.<\/p>\n

      According to the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated June 22, 2010 No. 502, the textbook is recognized as a basic, state-national textbook and is issued in Ukrainian, Russian, and English versions. The author team of the textbook was awarded the prize of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the field of “Clinical medicine”, and for the cycle of scientific works on the “History of the development of endocrinology in Ukraine” – the prize named after V.P. Komisarenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
