VALENTYNA MINARCHENKO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Head of the Department, Doctor of biological sciences, Professor<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1982\u20131985, she studied at the graduate school of the M.G. Kholodny Institute of Botany\u00a0 of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and after graduation she worked as a junior researcher at the Department of Systematics and Floristics of Vascular Plants, a researcher, a senior researcher and Head of the Botanical Resource Science Laboratory.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0 2012, she defended her doctoral dissertation \u201cMedicinal plant resources of Ukraine: differentiation, dynamics, strategy for optimization of use and preservation\u201d.<\/p>\n

She participated in the development of the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn the Plant World\u201d (1999) and a number of subordinate legal acts in the field of accounting, regulation of the use and preservation of plant resources of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The main directions of scientific and practical work:<\/em><\/p>\n

She has been working at the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany since 2002 (part-time). Since 2013, she has been the Head of the Pharmacognosy and Botany Department, doctor of biological sciences, professor. The main direction of research is the diversity, use and resources of medicinal plants.<\/p>\n

Author and co-author of 220 scientific publications, including 12 monographs, two textbooks, 14 teaching aids. Main works: \u201cAtlas of medicinal plants of Ukraine\u201d (2002), \u201cMedicinal vascular plants of Ukraine (medical and resource value)\u201d (2005), \u201cNational atlas of Ukraine\u201d (2007), \u201cResource science. Medicinal plants\u201d (2014), \u201cMedicinal fern-like, plaun-like and horsetail-like plants of Ukraine\u201d (2019); textbooks and educational aids: \u201cMedical Botany\u201d (2009), \u201cPharmacognosia: a basic textbook for students of higher pharmaceutical educational institutions\u201d (2016), \u201cMedicinal plants resources\u201d (2019).<\/p>\n

Uliana Karpiuk was born in 1983, graduated from the National Pharmaceutical University, Faculty of Pharmacy in 2005, and received a full higher education majoring in \u201cPharmacy\u201d and qualified as a pharmacist.<\/p>\n

In 2006, she entered postgraduate studies at the Department of Chemistry of Natural Compounds of the National Pharmaceutical University. In 2009, Uliana Volodymyrivna defended her dissertation for the degree of candidate of pharmaceutical sciences on the topic \u201d Phytochemical study of Glycine hispida\u2019s commercial species and creation of drug substances on its basis \u201d in the specialty 15.00.02 \u2013 pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy. In 2018, she received the academic title of associate professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany of Bogomolets National Medical University.<\/p>\n

Uliana Karpiuk defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences with the specialty 15.00.02 \u2013 pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy on the topic \u201cTheoretical and practical justification of the creation, standardization, production of herbal medicines with the hemostatic and hypoglycemic action\u201d in 2018. In 2020, she received the academic title of professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany of Bogomolets National Medical University.<\/p>\n

Publications:<\/em>\u00a0the author of 140 scientific publications: 2 training manuals with the seal of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2 training manuals in English, 2 methodological recommendations, 7 patents, 13 scientific articles in periodicals included in the scientific and metric databases Scopus and Web of Science.<\/p>\n
