History creation of<\/strong> scientific circle. <\/strong>The Student Circle at the Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology has been functioning since 1960 year, when Professor Pylypchuk Mykola Stepanovych began to manage the department (Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, laureate of state award, academician of the Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences; author of 250 scientific publications, including 10 monographs).<\/p>\n

The first scientific supervisor of the student circle is \u00a0Professor Pylypchuk Mykola Stepanovych<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main focus of the group<\/strong> at that time was to improve the treatment of tuberculosis patients and non-specific lung diseases.<\/p>\n

– The prevalence of tuberculosis in countries around the world<\/p>\n

– Features of the causative agent of tuberculosis<\/p>\n

– Radiodiagnosis of tuberculosis<\/p>\n

– Improvement of methods of antimycobacterial therapy<\/p>\n

– Mastering the methodology of spirographic research<\/p>\n

– Diagnosis of pulmonary heart<\/p>\n

– Blood clotting in patients with tuberculosis<\/p>\n

At the meetings of the scientific circle, reports on the performance of students’<\/p>\n

scientific works are heard; a clinical analysis of patients with respiratory tuberculosis and chronic nonspecific lung diseases (CNLD) is conducted.<\/p>\n

Due to the remoteness of the department, students – circle members also study individually under the guidance of a teacher. Under the supervision of the appointed scientific supervisor and with his help, these students conduct scientific research, master various methods of research of the cardiovascular system and the function of external respiration, modern prevention schemes and schemes and methods of treatment of patients with respiratory tuberculosis and extrapulmonary tuberculosis.<\/p>\n

During the visit of scientists from the USA and their meeting with students of Bogomolets national medical university summed up the results of scientific research:<\/p>\n

– development of new methods for diagnosing tuberculosis in children (Providence Boston Center for AIDS Research, CFAR).<\/p>\n

– epidemiological analysis and detection of predictors of tuberculosis treatment results in patients of different age groups.<\/p>\n

While \u00a0working \u00a0in \u00a0medical institutions \u00a0in \u00a0Ukraine, \u00a0researchers \u00a0from \u00a0\u00a0the \u00a0USA<\/p>\n

Meeting of scientists from the USA with students of students-circles of the Bogomolets National Medical <\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>University (September 1, 2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n

outlined a plan for further work. Scientific work is of practical importance for reforming the tuberculosis control system. NMU students asked their colleagues from the USA about the peculiarities of studying in medical schools and the peculiarities of the work of doctors in the country.<\/p>\n

STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL FOREIGN OLYMPIAD<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the Department of Tuberculosis and Pulmonology, students of Bogomolets national medical university took part in the International Olympiad “Samarkand – 2020” (December 11-12, 2020, Uzbekistan). Laboratory diagnostics and clinic of tuberculosis” (touched on extremely relevant and complex issues of microbiology).<\/li>\n

Kravchenko Eva<\/u><\/em> (4th year, medical faculty No. 1) \u2013 presentation on the topic \u201cDifferential diagnostics of lung lesions in infiltrative form of tuberculosis and in COVID-19 pneumonia\u201d (the pathomorphological features of lung lesions, the main differential diagnostic differences of both the clinical course and radiological (including computed tomography) signs were revealed).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                      The SSC meeting was multifaceted, combining the history of development, clinical features, diagnostics, and differential diagnosis of tuberculosis with other infectious diseases, since tuberculosis (as a disease) can affect various organs and systems, as well as pregnant women.<\/p>\n

                                      \"\"<\/p>\n

                                      At the meeting, the student-club members presented their reports in a very interesting way, with enthusiasm and high activity. The young scientists showed their inclination and talent for science and skills in conducting tuberculosis research.<\/p>\n

                                      \"\"<\/p>\n

                                      Professor Olga Bogdanivna Pikas (Head of the CIS of the Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology) clarified the need for an integrated approach in practical medicine, because each discipline complements the other.<\/p>\n

                                      Associate Professor Oleksandra Romanivna Buts (Scientific Director of the Student Scientific Circle of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases) wished to continue such meetings (in a combination of several departments).<\/p>\n

                                      Professor Vasyl Ivanovich Petrenko (Head of the Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology) supported the integrated conduct of CIS and their interconnection at different stages of managing people with tuberculosis. He noted the good work of the students-circle members and their performances.<\/p>\n
