Associate Professor Artem Valeriiovych Neverovskyi, and Assistant Lecturer Vladyslav Anatoliiovych Tovstyha.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Since 2018, the Department has been conducting planned research activities focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases under conditions of comorbidity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Research topic (until 2025) \u2013 former Department of Internal Medicine No. 1:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>\u201cStudy of clinical and pathogenetic relationships in comorbid digestive system diseases and conditions and improvement of treatment approaches\u201d<\/em>,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #003366;\">State Registration No. 0123U100922.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Research topic \u2013 former Department of Internal Medicine No. 4:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #003366;\"><em>\u201cFeatures of lipid, protein, neurotransmitter metabolism and hemodynamics in patients with generalized atherosclerosis and secondary prevention of cardiovascular events.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">All members of the Department are involved in the implementation of the research projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Priority research areas \u2013 former Department of Internal Medicine No. 1:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Study of the prevalence of major gastrointestinal diseases in patients with cardiovascular, endocrine, hematological, and nephrological disorders;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Investigation of intestinal microbiota to develop methods for correcting lipid and carbohydrate metabolism in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome, as well as for controlling cardiovascular risk;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Study of genetic polymorphisms in patients with metabolic syndrome and obesity and development of personalized dietary models;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Development of modern, effective diagnostic tests for type 2 diabetes mellitus based on ceramide analysis;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Study of current issues in the diagnosis and treatment of coagulopathies in liver cirrhosis in the presence of comorbid cardiovascular pathology;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Development and implementation of endoscopic treatment methods for gastrointestinal diseases.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The Department is actively working on the implementation of non-invasive diagnostic methods for gastrointestinal diseases and on developing new personalized approaches to the prevention and treatment of obesity and metabolic syndrome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Priority
