Staff union member is an employee who is a part of staff union, recognizes the Charter and pays membership fees.

Staff union member has a right to:

– to protect the legitimate rights and interests of staff unions in the state, judicial and economic institutions, to participate in the operation work of staff union, including the formulation, discussion and decision making, and overseeing their implementation, personally participate in staff union meetings (conferences) as well as meetings of elective bodies of staff union in consideration of applications, proposals or questions about his rights and interests;

– elect and be elected to staff union’s bodies at all levels;

– apply to all professional bodies with questions, applications, proposals and to demand answers of the merit of his appeal;

– receive free legal assistance by staff union bodies;

– receive financial assistance; use a variety of benefits, provided by staff union.

 

Staff union member is obliged to:

Comply with the Charter of staff union, carry out his staff union duties and power of attorney to participate in the primary staff union organization

  • recognize and meet the requirements of the Charter, to take care of the authority of staff union, to work honestly and conscientiously;
  • timely pay membership duties;
  • participate in the activities of staff union, implement decisions and orders of staff union’s bodies;
  • carry out obligations provided for by collective agreement.

 

Guarantees of staff union member:

– Staff union member may not be dismissed from his job on employer’s initiative without approbation of staff union committee;

– changing terms of the collective agreement, wages, and bringing disciplinary responsibility of employees who are members of elective staff union bodies, shall be allowed only with the prior consent of the elective staff union body;

– to employees who have been dismissed because of their election to elective staff union bodies, upon the expiry of the terms of office, should be provided by previous work place (position) or with the consent of the employee he should be provided by another equivalent job (position);

– members of elective staff union bodies who are not released from performing their work duties, are provided by free time with keeping the average salary for the performance of public duties in the interests of the staff, as well as a participation in the elective staff union bodies and staff union education on conditions provided by collective agreement;

– employees, elected to the elective bodies of staff union organization, which operates in the institution, keep social benefits and incentives, established under the law for other employees at place of employment.
