The main directions of scientific and practical work

Under the scientific guidance of prof. Kolosovych IV four candidate dissertations and one diploma project (Taras Shevchenko National University) were defended. One doctoral dissertation is being completed.

  • Delegate to numerous international forums (Austria, Great Britain, Denmark, Israel, India, Spain, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Germany, UAE, Poland, USA, Thailand, Turkey, Switzerland, Japan).

Scientific interests – mini-invasive organ-saving surgery for gastric  and duodenal ulcers, traumatic spleeninjuries, pancreatitis, gollstone disease.

Bezrodnyi Borys Gavrylovych

born 1950, graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Kyiv Medical Institute in 1972, in 1979 – clinical residency at the Department of Hospital Surgery of NMU, surgeon of the highest category, Doctor of Medical Sciences (1995), Professor (2005). Topic of the doctoral dissertation “Surgical treatment of patients with pancreatic cancer and Major duodenum Papilla”, Head of the Department of Surgery # 2 since 2006.

The main directions of scientific activity are the development of issues of surgical treatment of diseases of organs of hepatopancreatoduodenal zone, surgical treatment of patients with mechanical jaundice, peptic ulcer, chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, transplantation of stem cells in surgery, surgery.

 

Introduction to clinical practice:

Scientific developments have been introduced into the medical practice of surgical departments of Kyiv and Kyiv region, Zhytomyr and Zhytomyr region, Chernihiv and Chernihiv region, and have been included in the lecture courses and curricula of the Surgery Department No. 2 of the O.O. Monitor for students of 4-6 courses, surgeons-interns, clinical residencies and graduate students. Teplyi Valerii Vitaliiovych

Professor, graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1981.

He has undergone a clinical residency in the speciality “Surgery” at the Kyiv Research Institute for Clinical and Experimental Surgery (now the Research Institute for Surgery and Transplantology). In 1988 under the supervision of acad. O.O. Shalimov he defended the thesis for PhD Degree: “Comparative estimation of methods of gastroesophageal collateral venous blood flow interruption in treatment of bleedings due to portal hypertension syndrome”.

In 2013 he defended the thesis on the doctor of medical science degree on the topic: “Surgical correction of the trunk cosmetic defects with restoration of aesthetic, functional and metabolic parameters”.

In 2004 he attended the 5th Heidelberg Symposium Live-Operation-Course for Plastic surgery.

In the period from 17.01.2018 to 26.01.2018 he completed practical training at the Second Department and Clinic of General and Oncological Surgery of Wroclaw Medical University

He took part in Seminar on Health care management in Pullach, Germany in October 2019.

Teplyi V. has fifteen inventions. Published 134 scientific works, including 12 in the Journals that are indexed by Scopus. He is co-author of 11 manuals in surgery for the 4-6 years students and 1 monography: Bezrodnyi B., Teplyi V., Kolosovych A. Diagnostic and treatment of intra-abdominal hypertension in patients with surgical pathology of abdominal organs. Kyiv: Valrus Dysain, 2017. – 144 p.

He is a certified member of All Ukrainian association of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons (UAPRAS).Member of International Confederation of Plastic and Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS).

Principal directions of scientific and clinical work:

  • Correction of congenital and acquired cosmetic defects of trunk, face and extremities.
  • Surgical and conservative treatment of the scars.
  • Metabolic effects of liposuction and dermolipectomy.
  • Radiofrequency and laser ablation of benign neoplasms of skin, breast and thyroid gland.
  • Diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of intra-abdominal hypertension and abdominal compartment syndrome.
  • Laparoscopic surgery.
  • Phlebology: different methods of phlebectomy, endovenous laser ablation of the veins, CHIVA, telangiectasia’s and reticular veins microthermocoagulation.

Associate Professors

Kopyov Yuriy Oleksiiovych

(born 05.23.1950), PhD in Medical Sciencies (1984). Graduated from Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute in 1973. In 1984 he passed dessertation defence on “The impact of surgical treatment of acute cholecystitis on the endocrine function of the pancreas.” Associate Professor, Department of Surgery № 2 (1990). Author of 108 scientific studies, 6 state patents of Ukraine. Engaged in issues of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

IVANOV MYKOLA ANDRIIOVYCH

Honored Doctor of Ukraine, PhD (Candidate of Medical Sciences), Associate Professor

M.A. Ivanov graduated from the Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute in 1979 with the diploma with honours. From 1979 to 1986 he studied in clinical residency and postgraduate studies at the Department of General Surgery of the above-mentioned institute. From 1986 to 1990 – assistant professor of the Pediatric Surgery Department, in 1990-1998 – assistant professor of the Hospital Surgery Department (since 2008 – Department of Surgery # 2), since 1998 – associate professor of the Department of Surgery # 2 of the Bogomolets National Medical University. In 1986he defended his thesis “Comparative characteristics of methods of surgical treatment of lactating mastitis”. The academic title of: “Associate Professor” was awarded to him in 2000. M. Ivanov has the highest qualification category in surgery. He is responsible for educational work at the department.

Author of 49 scientific works, including manuals for students, has 2 certificates on inventions. He is engaged in the study of general and hepatobiliary surgery.

Awards: Honored Doctor of Ukraine (2005), Certificate of Honor of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (2006), Honorary Certificates of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2003, 2005), Order of St. Luke of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (2013), Certificate of Merchandise of KMG (2019).

 

KARTASHOV BORIS T.

PhD, Associate Professor, graduated from the Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute in 1978

From 1978 to 1981 he studied in clinical residency at the Department of Hospital Surgery of the Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute. From 1981 worked as an assistant of the department, since 2000 and till now – Assistant Professor (since 2008 – Department of Surgery # 2 of the Bogomolets National Medical University). In 1983 he defended his PhD thesis on “X-ray radiological diagnosis of calculous cholecystitis and its surgical treatment”. Academic title “Associate Professor” was conferred in 2002. Surgeon of the highest qualification category. Author of more than 100 scientific works, including one manual on the stamp of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, 3 patents. He is engaged in studying the issues of surgery for the pathology of the hepatobiliary system.

Anatolii Moiseienko

graduated with honors from the Bogomolets National Medical University in 2002. From 2002 to 2004 studied in internship and master’s degree in surgery at the Department of Hospital Surgery №1, Bogomolets National Medical University, from 2004 to 2007 studied in full-time postgraduate study at the same department. Since 2007  – assistant of the Department of Surgery №2, Bogomolets National Medical University. Research Topic: “Diagnosis and surgical treatment of acute bowel obstruction”. Author of 47 published scientific works, 2 of them in foreign editions, 15 patents of Ukraine for inventions and utility models.  The priority direction of scientific and surgical activity – laparoscopic technologies in planned and urgent surgery. Member of the Association of Surgeons of Kyiv and the region.

PETRENKO OLEG

Graduated from Vinnitsa Medical Institute in 1993 year. Since 1993 to 2010 years was working as a surgeon in the different clinics of Ukraine. Defended the scientific work “Surgical treatment the complications of varicose diseases” in 2009 year. He has been working in Bogomolets National Medical University since 2010 year. Main direction is wound healing and plastic surgery the defects of soft tissue and skin and phlebology. He defended the scientific work  “Surgery treatment of purulent wound of lower extremities” in 2021 year. Author of 7 publications,  12 guidelines, 9 patents and 1 monography. The member of European wound management association (EWMA).

Sydorenko Roman Anatoliiovych

Since 2013 – Associate Professor of Surgery department №2 of  Bogomolets National Medical University.

From 1992 to 1998 graduated from the Luhansk State Medical University, the Faculty of Medicine. From 2000 to 2002 clinical residency at the Department of Hospital Surgery # 1 of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

2006 – degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. Title of the dissertation ” Grounding of tactic of surgical treatment of the patients with chronic pancreatitis, which is aimed on saving of function of pancreas ”

Tsyhanok Andrii M.

Associate Professor, graduated from the Bogomolets  National Medical University in  2001.

From 2003 to 2006 he studied at the postgraduate course at the Department of Hospital Surgery # 1 of the Bogomolets  National Medical University.  In 2007 he defended his PhD thesis on “Minimally invasive surgery in patients with acute cholecystitis”. In January 2018, he completed an internship at Wroclaw Medical University at the Department of Surgery and Oncology # 2.

He is engaged in the study of  laparoscopic surgery, ultrasound diagnostics of pathology of abdominal organs.

Author of 35 publications, 1 textbook, 12 guidelines, 15 patents

HANOL IHOR, PhD, Associate Professor

graduated with honors from the Bogomolets National Medical University in 2000. From 2000 to 2002 studied in internship at the Department of Hospital Surgery #1 Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2002 he worked as a surgeon at Hospital #4 in Kyiv, and then as a consultant surgeon at the Central Hospital in Misurata (Libya) (until 2004). In 2004-2010 – resident of the Surgical Department #1 of Hospital #4 in Kyiv. In 2010-2021 – Assistant Professor of the Department of Surgery #2, Bogomolets National Medical University. From September 2021 – Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery #2, Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2011 he defended his PhD thesis on “ Organ-preserving spleen surgery for traumatic organ injuries ”, awarded the academic title of “Associate Professor” in June 2021. An author of 53 scientific papers, co-author of the monograph “Surgical treatment of spleen diseases” approved  by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 11 patents of Ukraine for utility model. In March 2021, he completed an internship for teachers at National-Louis University (Poland). Fluent skills of English (level B2 Cambridge Assessment, 2020). Responsible executor of research work of the department.

He has the highest medical category in surgery and second specialization in urology.

CHEREPENKO IHOR (b. 05.02.1974) – He graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk Medical Academy (1997). MD, PhD (2008), assistant of professor (2003), associate professor (2021). Work experience – 25 years. Academic experience – 19 years.

From 1997 to 1999 he passed an internship in the specialty “Surgery” at the Kamyanets-Podilsky City Hospital of Khmelnytsky region at Vinnytsia State Medical University. E. Pirogov.  From 1999 to 2003 he worked as a surgeon at Pochayiv Regional Hospital # 2 in Ternopil Region. From 2003 to 2009 he was an assistant of professor at the department of faculty surgery at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. From 2006 to 2009 – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens Training at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. In 2009 he was admitted to the position assistant of professor of the Department of Surgery No.2 of the Bogomoletc National Medical University. Experience as a surgeon – 25 years. In 2018, the certification at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine – certified by a surgeon doctor of the highest category, was confirmed. Academic experience – 19 years.

In 2008 he defended his thesis on “Complex surgical treatment of aged patients with calculous cholecystitis, accompanied by choledocholithiasis and obstructive jaundice, by acute liver foilure.”

Oleksii Chibisov

born in 1981, in 2004 graduated from the Medical Faculty of  Lugansk State Medical University. From August 2004 to June 2005 he took internship and master’s degree, which he graduated with honors, specializing in surgery at the Luhansk City Clinical Hospital № 4.

In 2009 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic: “Indications, nature of surgical interventions in patients with postoperative hernias of the anterior abdominal wall”.

From December 2014 he was elected to the position of assistant of the Department of Surgery №2 of the Bogomolets National Medical University, where he works now.

He has more than 40 publications in periodicals, 5 patents for inventions, and is the co-author of 4 manuals on surgery. Conducts extensive educational and methodological work; participates in writing methodological recommendations for the preparation of students, in the preparation of test tasks in the course of surgery for students of 4, 5 and 6 courses.

He is responsible for the department for medical practice of students of 4 courses in surgery.

He has the highest medical category in surgery. In 2015 he completed his second specialization in endoscopy. Constantly performs medical and consulting work on the basis of the department (1 surgical and endoscopic department of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital №4). 16 years of professional experience, 5 years in endoscopy.

Implementation in clinical practice

  • Scientific developments are implemented in the medical practice of surgical departments of Kyiv and Ukraine, as well as involved in lecture courses and curricula of the Department of Surgery №2 Bogomolets National Medical University for 6th year students, surgeons-interns, clinical residents and graduate students.

Kupchak Iryna

Graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University with a degree in 2008.

2008 – 2011 – internship on the basis of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital №4, at the Department of Surgery №2 of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

2011 – 2013 – clinical residency on the basis of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital №4, at the Department of Surgery №2.

2013 – 2018 – Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Thoracic Surgery and Invasive Diagnostic Methods, FG Yanovsky National Institute of Phthisiology and Pulmonology, National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

2013 to present – surgeon of the surgical department of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital №4.

2014 – specialization in thoracic surgery.

2017 – specialization in endoscopy.

In 2017 awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. Title of the dissertation: “Optimization of video thoracoscopy in intrathoracic lymphadenopathy”

Since 2019 – assistant professor (0.5 rate) of the Department of Surgery №2 of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

Since 2021 – surgeon of the highest qualification category.

Author of 17 scientific articles, 18 abstracts, 3 study guides, 22 patents.
