Main directions of work – prediction of the course of hypertension in combination with comorbid conditions, substantiation of pathogenetic role and establishment of etiobiological mechanisms in chronic coronary heart disease, acute coronary syndromes, chronic circulatory insufficiency, study of genetic factors in the development and combination of therapies, combination clinical pharmacology, traditional and advanced cardiovascular agents, development of algorithms for detecting life – threatening arrhythmias, study of the etiological and prognostic role of changes of the autonomic nervous system in patients with supraventricular disorders of the heart rhythm, the establishment of patterns of changes in the cardiovascular system in menopause.

One of the priority areas of Professor V.Z. Netiazhenko scientific school over the last decade is the problems of platelet and plasma hemostasis, thromboembolic complications in various cardiovascular pathology. Based on these studies, a new conceptual approach to the diagnosis and scientific interpretation of clinical manifestations in patients with various forms of coronary heart disease has been developed and substantiated, based on determining the role in the pathogenesis of this disease of cellular and plasma protein components of hemostasis. Based on the disclosure of the mechanisms of thrombus formation and fibrinolysis in the systemic arterial and venous beds, a new approach to predicting the course of many diseases of internal organs has been developed. The results obtained by V.Z. Netiazhenko and his students are recognized by world-class scientific experts and are therefore the subject of extensive scientific discussions in various domestic and foreign scientific forums.

Scientific research topic: “Correction of changes in platelet and plasma hemostasis in patients with coronary syndromes and hypertension, taking into account the presence of comorbid pathology”. State registration number – 0121U110275. Implementation period: 2021-2024 (extended for 1 year).
