Vereshchako Roman

Head of the Department of Oncology, Bogomolets National Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences.

Since 2014 he is a head of the Department of Oncology. In 1985 graduated from the Kuibyshev Medical Institute. Until 1990 he worked in the Starodubsky CRC of the Bryansk region by the general surgeon.

In 1991-1992 studied in clinical residency at the department of pulmonology of the KIAPO Shupik. After completing his residency, he was hired by the Department of Thoracic Surgery for Adult KCML # 17.

He took an active part in the work of the clinic, both in practical activity and in scientific. In 1999 he fulfilled his job as a contractor and successfully defended his PhD thesis on “Reconstructive lung cancer surgery”. Since 1999 has the highest category in the specialty “Thoracic surgery”. He completed his internship in the specialty “Oncology”, “Oncology”.

In 2008 he defended his doctoral dissertation on “Treatment of cicatricial esophageal stenosis”. Performs surgical operations on the esophagus, trachea, bronchi, genital organs, lungs, chest wall, diaphragm, stomach, thyroid gland. He is a full member of the European Thoracic Surgeons Association. Participates in annual international scientific conferences and is published in international publications. He has 70 printed works, co-author of 1 textbook, has received 9 patents for inventions for organ-preserving operations in lung and esophageal tumors.

Since 2010 he worked at the Department of Surgery # 4, Bogomolets National Medical University from 2011 to 2014 as Assistant Professor.

 

 

 

Vakulenko Galyna

She graduated from the Kyiv Red Banner of Labor Order with a degree in Medical Affairs in 1971. From 1971 to 1974 – worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist at a clinical hospital №8 in Kyiv. Since 1974 – clinical residency, then postgraduate studies in the specialty “oncology” at the Kyiv Research X-ray Radiology and Oncology Institute. In 1979 she defended her PhD thesis on specialty oncology: “Diagnosis and control of treatment of chorioepithelioma of the uterus”.

Since 1979 she worked at the Department of Oncology as an assistant, and since 2003, after defending her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Ethio-pathogenetic approach to the treatment of initial forms of cervical cancer” in the specialty “Oncology” was selected by competition and worked as an associate professor of the department oncology. Since 2006 she has been appointed to the position of Professor of the Department of Oncology. He has more than 160 scientific papers, 4 certificates for inventions and 4 certificates for rationalization proposals, co-author of 2 monographs and 3 textbooks (one in English), 4 manuals. Problems of scientific research are the development of methods for the prevention of cervical cancer and the introduction into clinical activity of pathogenetically sound methods of organ-preserving treatment of cervical cancer in young women, as well as the monitoring of cervical cancer in pregnant women. Performs surgical interventions of a higher degree of complexity, implements modern methods of surgery in clinical practice. At a high scientific and methodological level he lectures and conducts practical classes with students of 5th and 6th years. Experienced educator and specialist, has modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. Able to pass on his experience to a young generation of oncologists and students. Engages with students in circles. He has the highest qualification category in the specialty “Oncology”, the experience of working as a surgeon – 38 years, scientific-pedagogical experience – more than 30 years. Vakulenko GO member of the Academic Council of the Second Medical Faculty and a member of the specialized council at the National Cancer Institute for the protection of PhD and doctoral theses, participates in the implementation of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine program on Oncology, participates in visiting commissions outside the university.

 

 

 

Cheshuk Valerii

Professor of Oncology, Doctor of Medical Sciences. He has been working at the department since 1996. In 2001-2003 he was acting Head of the Department of Oncology of NMU. In 2004 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the theme “Individualization of complex treatment of breast cancer patients stage I-II”. 3 2016 the dean of faculty of advanced training of teachers of Institute of postgraduate education of NMU. Author of more than 150 scientific works, including 19 patents, 8 manuals and two textbooks on ecology. Oncology surgeon of the highest category. He is responsible for the scientific work at the department, the curator of teaching at the department of cadet’s improvement of teachers’ faculty.

He works as a deputy head of the educational and methodological department of NMU and heads the education quality monitoring sector. Constantly enhances his teaching and professional level. Successfully completed training (21-24.09.2010) at the Center training of “PRIROST-Academy” personnel under the program of the course “Quality Management Systems and Internal Audit (DSTU ISO 9001: 2009) with a total of 40 academic hours” and received the certificate №495 from 06.129.2010 – internal auditor of the quality management system.

He has modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of cancer. He is a member of the Board of Appeal for the protection of theses in Surgical Disciplines, a member of the editorial board of the journal Oncology and the international “European Union of Medical Oncologists”. The main directions of work are comprehensive treatment of patients with breast cancer, melanoma of the skin, soft tissue sarcoma, is engaged in the development and widespread implementation of reconstructive-restorative and plastic surgery in patients with breast cancer. Investigates the prognostic factors for the development of synchronous and metachronous bilateral RMZ.

Regularly enhances his professional level by participating in scientific congresses, conferences, forums (St. Gallen 2005, Istanbul 2006, St. Petersburg 2007, Munich 2008, 2010, Madrid 2009).

 

 

 

Zotov Oleksii

Assistant Professor of the Department, Candidate of Medical Sciences is responsible for educational and methodological work, internship and postgraduate education at the department. He graduated with honors from the II Medical Faculty of Bogomolets National Medical University. In 1998 he defended his thesis “Acute erosive and ulcerative lesions of the digestive canal in surgical and combined treatment of malignant tumors (clinical experimental study)”.

He is the author and co-author of 80 scientific works, 11 inventions, 4 proposals, 3 textbooks, 8 manuals and methodical recommendations, as well as 5 monographs: “Mastopathy and Breast Cancer”, published in four editions 2002-2006; “Neuroendocrine neoplasms », 2005; Endocrine Therapy for Breast Cancer, 2014; Supportive Therapy for Cancer Patients, 2015; “Metabolic Syndrome and Breast Cancer”, 2016. Regularly improves his professional level by participating in numerous scientific congresses, conferences, forums: at the Russian School of Oncologists at the St. Petersburg Institute of Oncology. NN Petrov of the following subject: 2003 – “Operative breast cancer”; “Tumors of the head and neck”, 2004 – “Biotherapy of malignant tumors”, 2005 – “Pancreatic cancer”, 2009 – “Palliative treatment in oncology”, 2010 “Breast cancer”.

Participated in the work of the European School of Oncologists “Modern Aspects of Diagnosis and Treatment of Melanoma” (2005); Colorectal Cancer (2007); IV, V, VII and IX Russian Cancer Congresses in Moscow (2000, 2001, 2003, 2005);

He has presented at the X, XI and XII Congresses of Oncologists of Ukraine (2001, 2006, 2011), as well as the European Oncology Congresses (Vienna, 2013; Amsterdam, 2014, Madrid, 2015), numerous scientific and practical conferences.

In 2016, on the initiative of A.S. At the department, a cycle of thematic improvement for doctors of health care institutions “Clinical mammology” was created.

Zaichuk Vitalii

In 1998 graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2018, 2019 attended workshops in Düsseldorf, Germany.

In 2005 defended dissertation on the topic: “Use of antitumor autovaccine in combined treatment of patients with breast cancer”.

Author of 93 publications, 7 manuals, 4 textbooks and 21 inventions

Lobanova Olga

Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Oncologist, Oncologist, Doctor of the highest category. He has been working at the department since 2000. She graduated from the medical faculty №2 of Bogomolets National Medical University with a degree in medical treatment. Studied in internship, clinical residency, postgraduate study at the Department of Oncology. From 2006 to 2015 she worked as an assistant of the Department of Oncology. In 2015 she was elected to the position of associate professor of the department. He has authored and co-authored more than 40 scientific papers, 8 inventions, 4 textbooks, 5 manuals. Performs consultative and medical work.

Gryvkova Larysa

Higher-category oncologist, assistant at the Department of Oncology, NMU. Graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1990, passed internship in specialty surgery-oncology, studied in clinical residency in specialty – oncology. In 1994, she was elected to the position of Assistant Professor of Oncology, National Medical University. In 1997, she defended her PhD thesis on “A comprehensive method for the treatment of disseminated forms of malignant melanoma.” Author of more than 40 scientific papers, 3 textbooks, 1 invention. The main direction of scientific-therapeutic activity is an individual approach to complex treatment of breast cancer patients, malignant diseases of the skin and lymph nodes.

 

 

 

 

 

Sydorchuk Oleg

Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences. Higher-category oncologist. He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Chernivtsi State Medical Institute in 1989. From 1989 to 1994 he worked as a surgeon for the proctology department, and from 1994 to 1999 – for the surgical department of the Kyiv City Oncology Hospital. From 1999 to 2015 he worked as an assistant of the department. In 2015 he was elected to the position of associate professor of the department. In 2006 he defended his PhD thesis “The use of oxidants in the surgical treatment of breast cancer patients”.

Responsible for therapeutic and preventive work at the department, responsible for the department at the National Cancer Institute. For his services to the national-patriotic education of the youth he was awarded the “Golden Cross of St. Vladimir on the pad”. She is actively involved in scientific work, participates in scientific conferences and congresses in oncology. The main direction of scientific and medical activity is an individual approach to the complex treatment of patients with breast cancer, malignant diseases of the skin, head and neck tumors, musculoskeletal system, abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space. Introduces the latest technologies and techniques for a reconstructive plastic approach to modern breast cancer treatment. Publications (254), of which: textbooks (4), inventions (53). Motuziuk Igor

Department Assistant, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Oncologists, Member of the All-Ukrainian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. Graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University in 2001. Since 2002 he worked as a resident doctor at the surgical department of the Kyiv City Oncology Hospital. He has been working at the Department of Oncology since 2004. In 2008 he defended his PhD thesis “Application of local hyperthermia in the complex treatment of breast cancer patients”. The department is responsible for the educational work and the student hostel. He regularly participates in numerous scientific congresses, conferences, forums. He is the author of 105 scientific works, 40 patents for the invention, is working on his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic: “Ways to optimize the surgical treatment of breast cancer patients”. Works at the Department of Breast Tumors and its reconstructive surgery at the National Cancer Institute.

The main direction of scientific and medical activity is an individual approach to the complex treatment of patients with breast cancer, malignant diseases of the skin, head and neck tumors, musculoskeletal system, abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space. Introduces the latest technologies and techniques for a reconstructive plastic approach to modern breast cancer treatment.

 

 

 

Tymovska Iulianna

Department Assistant, Candidate of Medical Sciences. Graduated with honors from NMU. From 2003 to 2004 she worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Oncology, from 2004 to 2006 she studied in clinical residency in the specialty of oncology, then in graduate school. In 2010 she defended her dissertation on the topic: “Locally distributed breast cancer: clinical options and molecular biological features”.

At the end of her postgraduate studies she worked as a researcher at the department of mechanisms of anticancer therapy at the Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology. RE. Kavetsky NAS of Ukraine. Since 2013 – works as an assistant of the Department of Oncology. Her research interests include the study of ways to improve the effectiveness of anticancer therapy and ways of overcoming drug resistance of tumors, the impact of various factors on the emergence and development of malignant tumors, as well as preserving the reproductive function of cancer patients. She is a consultant on chemotherapy in breast cancer patients at the surgical department of the Kyiv City Clinical Oncology Center.

Piskorskii Oleksandr

Oleksandr Piskorskyi, Assist.Prof. Graduated in 2014 from National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, a medical faculty. From 2014 to 2016 he studied in an internship at the Department of Oncology, Bogomolets National Medical University, specialty clinical oncology. In 2016. received specialization in Oncology from the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. From August 2016 to July 2018- studied at the clinical residency at the Department of Oncology at the Bogomolets NMU. Since September 2018 he is an assistant at the Department of Oncology at the Bogomolets NMU. He works on a clinical basis at the Department of Oncology – Kyiv Clinical Hospital on Railway Transport # 3 as an onco-surgeon.
