Department of analytical, physical and colloid chemistry

Scientific work

Responsible employee: associate professor, Ph.D. Gribova N.Yu.

Main areas of work:

Scientific work of the staff of the Department of Medical and General Chemistry of the Bogomolets National Medical University is involved in the study of a number of modern problems of inorganic, analytical, physical chemistry and pedagogy.Among them are the study of coordination compounds of metals with ligands fixed on the surface of highly dispersed oxides, the study of the laws of the oxidation reaction of CO on the surface of mixed oxides of iron and manganese,study of physicochemical properties of complexes of copper (II) and Nickel (II) with carboxyhydroxamic acids, synthesis and study of properties of methyl methacrylate-containing fillers of photopolymers based on highly dispersed silica,study of sorption of some toxic and d-elements on the surface of chemically modified silica, synthesis and study of properties of high-temperature and superconducting materials based on rare earth metals in different degrees of oxidation, current problems of professional orientation of natural sciences in medical lyceum, modern aspects of medical chemistry training of doctors in the period of reforming medical education, etc.

The active scientific work of the staff of the Department of Medical and General Chemistry is reflected in a large number of monographs “Bismuth halides and pseudohalides”, “Photosensitive diazonaphthols”, “Printed forms based on photosensitive diazo compounds” and others, published scientific articles (among them reviews and articles in leading domestic and foreign chemical journals, such as “Acta Cryst.”, “Journal of Materials Science and Engineering”, “Materials”, “Superhard materials”, “Chemical Industry of Ukraine”, “Ukrainian Chemical Journal” “,” Ukrainian Scientific and Medical Youth Journal “,” Catalysis and Petrochemistry “,” Methods and Objects of Chemical Analysis “,” Bulletin of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University “,” Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry “, etc.), as well as in many speeches at international and national conferences and symposia.

Employees of the department constantly present the results of scientific research at conferences of various levels in Ukraine and abroad. Scientific reports were held in the following countries: Korea, Estonia, Isaiah, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, Italy, USA, Russia.

The department has created a new disinfectant “Dezokson”, which has been tested on many volunteers. Dexoxone is used in laboratory classes for disinfection of laboratory glassware for individual use.

Scientific work is carried out jointly with the Departments of Analytical Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Department of the Institute of Surface Chemistry named after OO Chuyko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after MI Pirogov.

At the Department of Medical and General Chemistry of the Bogomolets National Medical Universityresearch work on the following topicsis performed:

“INTEGRATION OF TEACHING OF CHEMICAL DISCIPLINES IN HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND INSTITUTIONS OF PRE-UNIVERSITY TRAINING” (Deadline 2008-2010);

“THEORY AND METHODS OF TEACHING CHEMICAL DISCIPLINES IN HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN CONDITIONS OF REFORMING MEDICAL EDUCATION 2011-2013”;

“THEORY AND METHODS OF TEACHING CHEMICAL DISCIPLINES IN HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS UNDER THE CREDIT-MODULAR SYSTEM OF PERFORMANCE. ORGANIZATION

“THEORY AND METHODS OF TEACHING CHEMICAL DISCIPLINES IN THE PREPARATION OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS FOR THE FIELD OF HEALTHCARE” (Deadline 2017-2019).

Results of the research:

The educational and didactic support of the educational process in the following disciplines: “Medical Chemistry” for domestic and foreign students of medical faculties; “Chemistry” for foreign citizens studying in the preparatory department; students of correspondence preparatory courses in the discipline “Chemistry”.

Methodical recommendations for designing standardized test tasks in the discipline “Chemistry” for students of correspondence preparatory courses have been developed and implemented.

The problem of pre – professional training of students in medical lyceum and the organization of extracurricular work in the conditions of lyceum is investigated, the historical – pedagogical analysis of pre – professional training of students in medical lyceum is carried out.

The role of studying chemical disciplines in the training of future specialists in the pharmaceutical industry has been studied.

The ways of activating independent work of students are investigated.

Typical curricula in the discipline of “Medical Chemistry” for students of medical, dental and medical-psychological faculties have been created.

A bank of test tasks has been created to prepare students of higher medical educational institutions for passing the KROK-1 license exam.

The results of the study conducted by the Department of Medical and General Chemistry can be used to improve the structure and content of courses in the following disciplines: medical chemistry for students of dental and medical-psychological faculties, analytical, inorganic chemistry, physical and colloid chemistry for full-time and part-time students, classical means of teaching chemical disciplines on the basis of their integration with new ones; the development of pedagogical technologies to increase the efficiency of the process of teaching medical chemistry to future health professionals.A methodical system of purposeful formation of chemical knowledge has been introduced into the practice of higher medical educational institutions, which provides guaranteed achievement of the projected fixed results in the teaching of chemical disciplines.

In 2020 – 2022 it is planned to perform research work on the topic: “THEORY AND METHODOLOGY OF TEACHING DISCIPLINES IN NATURAL SCIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF SPECIALISTS IN TEACHING

Main directions of work: Theory and methods of teaching disciplines in natural science and professional training of health care professionals, development of teaching methodology for students of higher medical (pharmaceutical) education in Ukraine.

Objectives of the study: Analysis of the main components of teaching methods, patterns and trends in their development in order to attract best practices in the teaching of disciplines in science and vocational training in higher medical (pharmaceutical) education.

Development of a didactically substantiated model of organization of educational space with the help of different teaching methods.

Modernization of methods of teaching medical chemistry for students of medical, dental and medical-psychological faculties; inorganic, analytical chemistry, physical and colloid chemistry for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Preparation of didactic support of the educational process: materials for disciplines in natural science and professional training of medical university students; textbooks for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy; educational and methodical manuals for preparation for classes and independent work of students of medical, dental, medical-psychological and pharmaceutical faculties, electronic-educational complexes (approbation in the scientific-educational information system NEURON of Bogomolets NMU).
