MEETING OF ACADEMIC COUNCIL AT NMU

The meeting of University’s Academic Council, in which members in University’s Academic Council, head at departments and persons, engaged into consideration of agenda, took part, was held on 25, September, 2014 in V.F. Voyno-Yasenetskyy lecture hall No 3 in morphological building under the chairmanship of rector of University corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine K.M. Amosova.

The memory of professor Khmelevskyy Yuriy Volodymyrovych head at department of biochemistry for many years, dean of medical faculty No 2, editor of newspaper “Medical cadres”, who died on 9, September this year, was honored with the silence minute at the beginning of the meeting.

1. About main provisions in Law of Ukraine “On higher education” and dates of entry into force for some its articles (reporter – acting first prorector on scientific pedagogical activity, professor Ya.V. Tsekhmister).

2. Discussion of draft decree by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On approval of concept about the new health care system” (reporter – head at department of health care management, professor V.D. Pariy);

3. Inclusion of University employees into composition of writing staff and public discussion of works, admitted to participation in the contest for acquisition of State Prizes of Ukraine in the sphere of science and technology.

The meeting discussed the cycle of scientific works “Monoclonal and recombinant antibodies for experimental biology, medicine and veterinary”, presented by O.V. Palladin Institute of Biochemistry at NAS of Ukraine and admitted to participation in the contest for acquisition of State Prizes of Ukraine in the sphere of science and technology. The authors of the cycle of scientific papers – candidates for acquisition of State Prize: corresponding member in NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Biology, Professor Ye.V. Lugovskoy; Doctor of Biology, chief research worker D.V. Kolybo, Candidate of Biology, senior research worker I.M. Kolesnikova; Doctor of Biology O.S. Oliynyk; junior research worker O.P. Kostiuchenko, Doctor of Medicine D.F. Gluzman, Doctor of Biology S.P. Sydorenko, Doctor of Medicine, leading research worker L.M. Skliarenko, Candidate of Biology, senior research worker L.M. Shlapatska.

According to the procedure, suggested by Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine, the person, responsible for performance of discussion, became the head at department of microbiology, virology and immunology, academician in NAS of Ukraine and NAMS of Ukraine, honorary scientist and technician of Ukraine V.P. Shyrobokov. As well, at request from the head at department of pharmacology corresponding member in NAS of Ukraine and NAMS of Ukraine, professor I.S. Chekman, the Academic Council considered the issues about inclusion of employees at department of pharmacology – assistant professor T.V. Kava and Doctor of Medicine, assistant professor L.I. Kazak into composition of writing staff, which is put forward to acquire the State Prize of Ukraine in the sphere of science and technology in 2015 for textbook “Pharmacology” for students of dental faculty.

Professor at department of internal medicine No 2 L.F. Konoplyova received the Charter of Honor by MHC of Ukraine for significant labor achievements, fruitful work for many years, high professionalism, devotion to duty, active public position and Charter of Honor by Academic Council on occasion of jubilee at the meeting of Academic Council.
