LECTURE OF DOCTOR KONSTANTINOS FARSALINOS (GREECE) WAS HELD
On September 24th, a lecture of the world-famous Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos (Greece) was held as a part of the XVI National Congress of Cardiologists of Ukraine.
Many students and university employees attended a lecture on the efficiency of electronic cigarettes as a way to control smoking. In fact, Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos is one of the leading experts who studying the effects of smoking on the heart.
During the lecture doctor gave convincing arguments concerning the efficiencies of electronic cigarettes to people seeking to quit smoking, supporting this with evidences of chemical, toxicological and clinical studies. He warned against the use of cigarettes by people who do not smoke. Damage from these cigarettes present, but certainly it is less than that of tobacco, making appropriate their use by people who are now chronic smokers to reduce injury and the complete abandonment of harmful habits in the future.
After the lecture, Dr. Farsolinos announced a video conference on ‘New methods of echocardiographic examination of subclinical systolic cardiac dysfunction: deformation imaging’, which would be conducted soon.
