UKRAINIAN-POLISH COOPERATION

On September 24, 2015 a delegation of the department of Otolaryngology of Bogomolets National Medical University (consisting of Professor O.M. Naumenko, Professor Yu.V.  Dieyeva, Professor V.M. Vasyliev, K.Ya. Terentieva) paid an official visit to the department and clinic of otorhinolaryngology at Warsaw Medical University. During the visit, they shared experience in the organization of scientific and pedagogical, and therapeutic process, established friendly relations with the Department of Otolaryngology of Medical University of Warsaw.

Department of Otorhinolaryngology NMU delegation took part in the Third Congress of the Polish-Lithuanian otolaryngologist in. Auhustov, Poland. Delegates from 9 countries (Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, France, Belgium, Germany, England, USA) attended the Congress. Meetings of sections of rhinology, otology and implant dentistry, oncology, neorootology, phoniatrics and audiology were held within 3 days.

Delegation of the Department of Otolaryngology of Bogomolets National Medical University presented 5 papers: Professor V.M. Vasyliev ‘New aspects of ozena pathogenesis’, Doctor of Philosophy for Medicine L.R. Krynychko ‘The surgical approaches in case of fungus sinusitis’, Professor O.M. Naumenko ‘Surgical approach in patients with tonsilogenic neck phlegmon’, K.Ya. Terentieva  ‘Analyze ABR records of patients with acoustic neuromas’, Professor Yu.V. Dieyeva ‘BPOAE data in experimental ischemic model of AHL’.

In general, conducted Congress demonstrated the analysis of modern diagnostic and medical technologies, justified their use and sent a unified approach to tactics of ENT pathology that would help to optimize its treatment and reduce morbidity.
