THE THIRD SCIENTIFIC PRACTICAL CONFERENCE, DEVOTED TO THE MEMORY OF PROFESSOR O.V. DOLNYTSKYY

The third scientific practical conference, devoted to the memory of professor O.V. Dolnytskyy was held on the eve of the Easter. The leading pediatric surgeons of Ukraine gathered in the premises of departments of pediatric orthopedics and traumatology and microsurgery in hospital NCSH “Okhmatdyt”. They were M.O. Zaporozhets from Cherkasy, V.F. Panchyshyn from Zhytomyr, O.M. Kulyk from Lviv, pediatric orthopedists-traumatologists from Kyiv O.R. Pylypchuk, O.A. Danylov. The hosts and organizers of the conference head at department of pediatric orthopedics and traumatology of NMU professor A.F. Levytskyy and his colleagues heads of departments O.V. Bebeshko and V.V. Fidelskyy performed all necessary events so that the conference would take place at high scientific level and was worthy of the memory of the famous doctor, founder of school for pediatric microsurgery professor O.V. Dolnytskyy.

Before start of the conference its participants gathered near the stella of their teacher, put the flowers, and pronounced the thankful words to his address. Later there was the round with demonstration of patients at departments. The eyes of little patients were full of hope that these impressive uncles and aunts, who so carefully examine them, analyze the X-ray images and look into all treatment processes, will do their best so that they could join to their healthy coevals in the very near future and together with them jump, amuse, rejoice with the full life. They talked namely about it at lecture hall, where the conference was held. Many young doctors and interns joined to the honored guests. The greeting speeches were made by head at department of orthopedics and traumatology of NMU professor O.O. Buryanov, companions-in-arms of O.V. Dolnytskyy professors Ya.Y. Kryzhanivskyy, D.Yu. Kryvchenia, S.I. Gerasymenko. Each response was actively and creatively discussed. Thus, professor A.F. Levytskyy told about recent achievements of early scoliosis at children. Professor Yu.M. Guk told about application of modern intramedullary structures in treatment of deformations of the lower extremities with system spinal diseases at children. The pediatric surgeon O.O. Danilov paid the attention of audience to the stages in development of surgical aid at children with ICP. Young scientist V.M. Bovkun presented the approaches to application of plastics of defects of bone by free vascularized bone graft. The conference was finished with the report by O.V. Bebeshko, who paid the attention of audience to intra-operative modeling of arc-plate at treatment of pectus excavatum. This conference was the original report of talented pupils to their teacher, which demonstrated that the undertaking of Oleg Volodymyrovych continues to live and to be developed.
