IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGY FOR PREVENTION AND STRUGGLE AGAINST NID IN UKRAINE

WHO’s seminar on testing of training package “PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS WITH NON-INFECTIOUS DISEASES IN PRIMARY LINK OF HEALTH CARE” was held on 5-7, July, 2016 in Ukraine.

The program and academic methodic provision was developed by multidisciplinary group of leading specialists in Ukraine in the sphere of preventive medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, dietology, sinology. The training had the preventive direction.

The participants in the training were the specialists of family medicine, heads at health care facilities, teachers of HMS from different regions of Ukraine. The national trainers were the teachers at O.O. Bohomolets NMU, head at department, professor Gruzeva T.S. and assistant professor Shvets O.V.
The following foreign experts assessed the quality of academic methodic materials for training and technology of their teaching: Dr Jill Farrington, Head a.i. NCD Project Office, Senior Technical Officer, Division of NCDs & Promoting Health through the Life-coursе (ERB of WHO, Copenhagen, Denmark), Dr Dylan Collins, WHO Collaborating Centre for Self Care, (Oxford university, Great Britain), Professor Tiina Laatikainen, WHO Collaborating Centre for Noncommunicable Disease Prevention, Health Promotion and Monitoring (Helsinki, Finland).
The training was solemnly opened by representatives from MHC of Ukraine, ERB of WHO in Ukraine, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

During three days the participants in training took part in 24 interactive lectures, practical work in small groups, discussions, pre- and post-testing, exchange of experience.

The international experts highly assessed the content and quality in teaching the educational program of training and provided with the valuable advice for its improvement.

The results from work of training were the approvals of its chief experts – doctors in primary link, for whom the training-seminar was designed.

The systematic work as to study of personnel with modern technologies for prevention of NID and management of patients for NID in primary link of health care will be continued at regional level.
