FUTURE DOCTORS-PSYCHOLOGISTS WORK WITH CHILDREN FROM THE EAST OF UKRAINE

First expirience in rendering the psychological aid
The population of our country experiences the hard times, related to the events in the east for more than a year… The people feel serious psychological and emotional tensions, related to violation in basic needs of personality. It is, first of all, right to Life, Safety and Health. The forced migrants, people, who lost their relatives, their housing, people, whose relatives are in the area of battle actions… Many our citizens have now such status. And the most terrible thing is that in 70 years after the II World War, who took the lives of millions of Ukrainians, our country again experiences the events, from which CHILDREN suffer! It is mostly unprotected category of population, at the same time it is our Future and our Hope!

The Charitable fund “For the right to life” addressed to the rector in O.O. Bohomolets NMU, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor K.M. Amosova with the request to send the students of medical psychological faculty for industrial practice to camp “Lisova zastava” in Kyiv region in order to render the medical psychological support and accompaniment to children – forced migrants from the area of battle actions, who have a rest at the camp. In response to the errand by the rector, the administration of medical psychological faculty and dean’s office on industrial practice immediately started solving this urgent need, and the changes were introduced into traditional summer practice of students at medical psychological faculty, and the University and Charitable organization signed the agreement. The teachers at department of general and medical psychology and pedagogy developed the actions for educational program of students, performed the briefing about peculiarities for work with children from various age groups, who were in the ATO zone and were forced to move from homes. As well, the teachers at department together with students of the 5^th course formed the sets of psychological diagnostic and psychological corrective programs for work with children at camp.

While working with children at camp the students had the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge in practical conditions. The proverb “The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in war” once more proved the folk wisdom, the students showed the high professionalism and human qualities, necessary to specialists in professions that help others. The best students of the 5^th course in medical psychological faculty were awarded with Charter of Honor from administration of camp “Lisova zastava” for diligence and excellent professional skills: Sukhorukova A.A., Berdochnyk V.V., Sokyrskyy D.V., Grebeniuk L.R., Shemet Ya.A., Gavryliuk G.M., Kosian M.P., Marshova T.O., Manko M.M., Matsukebych O.D., Nikolayeva S.V., Paziura L.V., Reshetynskyy V.V.

During practice the students acquired the priceless expirience in work and tested themselves as future specialists, here is the response about their experiences while working at the camp: “We, the students of the 5^th course in medical psychological faculty of O.O. Bohomolets NMU, could join to a good deed and receive a certain working expirience with children with consequences from excessive stressful events. As volunteers-trainees we were lucky to visit this surprising place, which was made by the greatest desire of disinterested people, who do not leave this camp already for a year.
We worked with children under supervision of experienced psychologists, who are in contact with each child all the time. Not only psychological diagnostic methodologies were brilliant but the observation and communication with children at free time. Only here children play “National Guard and separatists” instead of “Cops and robbers”, only here in the game “Crocodile” the children recollect such words as “terrorist” and at any sharp, loud noise they shout “Grad!” or “Shooting!”. That’s why the great responsibility and holiness of deeds is felt in every corner of this camp and is expressed by faces of adults, who group around children. At the same time the pain and guilt to people is regularly reflected in their eyes. Although they have no direct relation to what is happening at our land. They are really from the world of “adults” – the world, where people cripple each other. And there are other things in this world: delicacy, care, sincerity and love. Children try to absorb namely these acquisitions, learn to appraise the humanity above all other things. The camp ‘Lisova Zastava” that is located in the village Dymer near Kyiv is engaged in this activity. And we in our turn put one more brick into foundation of our growing, happy generation”.

We would like to thank the director of camp “Lisova Zastava” Sazonova Iryna Volodymyrivna for her attentive and maternal attitude to our students; Sukhareva Nadiia, psychologist, volunteer, art-therapeutist – for expirience, understanding and support in teaching of students with peculiarities for work with children-migrants.
The expirience, received while working at camp “Lisova Zastava”, did not leave anyone indifferent and the student of the 5^thgroup Mark Kosian composed such poetry.
