CAPITAL REPAIR OF DEPARTMENTS IN MORPHOLOGICAL BUILDING

The administration of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university continues updating the material and technical base.

At the end of July rector of University, professor Kateryna Amosova visited the premises of department of anatomy and radiology and radiation medicine, where the repair works are now held. Kateryna Amosova checked the progress of works and readiness of premises for academic year.

The emergency capital repair at departments, which are in the morphological building of university, started on 21, March, 2016. The total area, which requires updating, is 403 sq. m at department of radiology and radiation medicine and 1,436 sq. m at department of anatomy.

As of today the repair is held on semi-basement, after its completion the brigade will start the repair of the first floor. All electric and assembling works on replacement of electric power supply have already been performed. The sanitary technical works will completely be performed and it includes the replacement of sewerage pipes and water supply pipes, installation of new sanitary equipment: mixer taps, wash stands. As it concerns the interior works, they have already put the tiles to the floor in corridors of departments, painted the walls and ceilings. The hydraulic seal has already been installed in the premises. The granite staircases from central entry to department of radiology and radiation medicine have already been installed, and partially the side handrails.

In total 20 premises of departments of anatomy and radiology and radiation medicine are subject to capital repair, among them 8 classrooms, 5 study rooms, 7 rooms for special use, corridors and utility rooms.

As of today 11 from 20 premises are completely ready. The capital repair at these departments has not been performed. The premises were in emergency conditions, there was the fungus on the walls. The students studied in terrible conditions before repair. The restoration works on update of parquet, as well as painting of walls and ceiling, will be held in the museum, which is in the first floor of department of anatomy. All old wooden windows and doors at departments will be replaced for the new ones that will correspond to safety rules for students and teachers.

It is planned to finish all the works on restoration of premises until the new academic year. The university administration will take efforts to provide with the best conditions for study of students and establishment of comfortable climate in the university.
