THE SPECIALISTS FROM NMU ARE PROBATING IN THE USA AS TO MODERN DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES
On 5, February, 2018 Resident Medical Practitioner at department of phthisiology and pulmonology Mamotenko Andrii and student of the 6th course in medical faculty No 3 Kukharivska Yuliia started the probation in c. Providence, Rhode Island State, USA.
The probation is devoted to urgent issues of modern diagnostics, management and treatment of infectious diseases, in particular tuberculosis. Before receiving the access to work at hospitals they were offered to pass through training as to policy of confidentiality, structure of medical establishments, safety rules.
The start of probation was in visiting the conference, where the specificity in management of infectious patients, character for run of diseases was actively discussed. One from doctors presented the best practices, which concern the treatment of HIV-infected patients with medicine “Baktegravir”, the advantages of this medicine over other ones.
The further step was visiting the antituberculous clinic, where the trainees took part in structured curation of patient. It is interesting that in the state there is the uniform electronic system with extensive information about patient, history of his/her previous visits, data of laboratory and instrumental researches.
Every day there is the excellent possibility to see something interesting and informative valuable. Thus, there is no doubt that the acquired experience and knowledge will bring benefit in further work in the territory of Ukraine.
